SNOW BLOWER TUNE UP
A snow blower tune up will consist of checking your belts, tires,
snow blower scraper bar, paddles and any moving parts that
can be lubricated.

If your engine is a four stroke, change the oil, spark plug and
make sure the fuel is fresh. If by chance you have a tecumseh
engine powering your four stroke snow blower and many do.
Take the nut that holds your fuel bowl on the carburetor loose
and make sure the tiny holes are clear.See the picture below,
if you have a snowblower thats a couple years young, this
should be done, since the nut is usually brass, it will corrode
and the tiny holes that the fuel flows through will become
clogged.

                                    BOWL NUT
Inside the nut above is a tiny hole that must be open, and
around the sides of the nut above the threads will be two tiny
holes that need to be inspected for clogging.

Fresh fuel, new spark plug, new oil and air breather and your
snowblower should be ready for winter. Its a good idea to get all
this acomplished before the first snow fall, since you dont want
to be bothered trying to get ready to clear snow when its
already snowing.

A two stroke tune up would consist of fresh fuel, possible new
air breather, lubricating all possible grease fittings and new
fuel in the machine, possible primer bulb replacement on carb if
worn.
